1 – What types of personal information do we collect?
Privacy laws in Canada generally define “personal information” as any information relating to an identifiable individual. This includes information that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify, contact, or locate a specific person. Information from which all direct and indirect identifiers have been removed (i.e., anonymized personal information) is not considered personal information.
We may collect, use, store, and transfer the following categories of personal information:
- personal identifying information, such as first name, last name, commonly used first name, gender, date of birth, and title;
- personal contact information, such as email address, mailing address, ZIP code, and phone numbers;
- order history, such as the names and contact information used to place an order, and information about the products you are interested in;

4 – Who do we share your personal information with?
Except as indicated below, Action Scaffold Services does not share or sell to third parties the personal information you have provided to us.
Action Scaffold Services discloses your personal information to third parties under the following circumstances:

Before disclosing personal information outside of Quebec when required by law, Action Scaffold Services conducts a privacy impact assessment to evaluate the risks associated with such a transfer and to determine whether the personal information will be afforded protection equivalent to that provided by the applicable laws in Quebec.
By using our services or providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge that such information may be disclosed, processed, or stored outside of Quebec and may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is located, which may allow local authorities to access this information in accordance with applicable law.
5 – How do we protect your personal information?
Action Scaffold Services has implemented reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative measures to protect your personal information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
Although Action Scaffold Services makes every effort to ensure that no unauthorized third party will view or obtain your personal information through the Website, complete confidentiality and security cannot currently be guaranteed on the Internet. Communications over the Internet may be subject to interception, loss, or alteration. You acknowledge and agree that Action Scaffold Services shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the transmission of confidential information or personal information over the Internet, and that such communications are made at your own risk.
6 – Privacy Incidents
Action Scaffold Services takes reasonable measures to prevent privacy incidents involving personal information.
Despite the protective measures in place, no security system is foolproof. A privacy incident may include, among other things, unauthorized access to, use of, disclosure of, loss of, or any other unauthorized compromise of personal information.
When a privacy incident occurs, Action Scaffold Services takes the necessary steps to minimize the risk of harm and prevent a similar incident from happening again.
In accordance with applicable laws, if an incident poses a risk of serious harm to a data subject, Action Scaffold Services will notify that data subject and the relevant authorities within the timeframes and in the manner prescribed by law.
Action Scaffold Services also maintains a privacy incident log in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
7 – How long will we retain your personal information?
Your personal information is stored securely at our facilities or on our service providers' servers located in Canada.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as well as to comply with our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or contractual obligations.
When personal information is no longer needed, it is securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Under certain circumstances, we may anonymize your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use this anonymous and de-identified data for legitimate business purposes without notifying you or obtaining your consent.
8 – Children under 14 years of age
The Website is not intended for children under the age of 14. No one under the age of 14 may provide personal information on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14. In the event that Action Scaffold Services makes a decision based solely on the automated processing of your personal information, you will be notified of this in accordance with applicable laws. You may then, depending on the circumstances provided for by law:- obtain information about the personal information used to make the decision;

- submit comments to a staff member authorized to review the decision;

To date, Action Scaffold Services has not made any decisions based solely on the automated processing of personal information.

Where appropriate, this corrected personal information will be provided to the parties to whom we are authorized to disclose your personal information. We will endeavor to process all requests for correction of personal information in a timely manner. - Your Right to Erasure
You may ask us to delete or remove your personal information under certain circumstances, such as when we no longer need your information to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or if you withdraw your consent (where applicable, given that your consent constitutes the legal basis for our processing of your personal information). If you wish, you may delete your user profile for any newsletter service provided by Action Scaffold Services by opting out of future communications by clicking the link at the bottom of each email you receive or by sending a written request to that effect to our Privacy Officer using the contact information provided in Section 12 (below).
10 – Use of Cookies
Action Scaffold Services uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of its website, analyze its use, and improve the user experience.

Icons that link directly to social media accounts (collectively, “Social Media”), such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, are available in the footer of the Website and in newsletters. Social Media accounts are managed by the in-house Marketing team.

Action Scaffold Services reserves the right to modify the Policy at any time without notice. You can view it at any time on the Website.
